2025 Commencement Ceremony for Maxwell Heights Secondary School

The Maxwell Heights Secondary School Commencement Ceremony will take place Thursday, June 26 at the Tribute Communities Centre, located at 99 Athol Street, Oshawa. The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 am.

To ensure the processional enters on time, graduates must be at the Tribute Communities Centre by 9:00 am. Graduates and Guests are to park in the public parking locations near the facility. All must enter through Gate 1 (Northwest corner). Guests of graduates do not require tickets for entrance but are recommended to limit attendees to approximately 6 guests. Guests will proceed to the upper level and graduates will proceed to the lower level where they will receive their graduation cap and gown and be organized in preferred last name order. Please note that graduates will not be permitted to leave the lower area until after the ceremony. Outside food and beverages are not permitted in the Tribute Communities Centre but concession stands will be opened at 9:15 am. Graduates and Guests are reminded that it will be cool inside the venue, so please dress accordingly. Flowers, shirts and teddy bears can be purchased at the Tribute Community Centre as well as pre-ordering with the link: https://www.thecommencementgroup.com/maxwellheightsss/. Each graduate will have a professional photo taken as they exit the stage at the venue. Photos will be available to download 24-48 hours after the ceremony by using a unique individual code provided in the graduate’s diploma package. In the diploma package students will receive a physical copy of the program. Guests will have access to a digital program during the ceremony through a QR code posted in the facility.

We look forward to celebrating the Maxwell Heights “Class of 2025” at this year’s Commencement Ceremony. The ceremony will be video and audio recorded and made available here within in 48 hours of the conclusion.

Note: To be considered a graduate for the 2025 Commencement Ceremony, a student must have completed one of the three graduating options prior to the ceremony date, June 26, 2025:

Ontario Secondary School Diploma

  • 30 Credits (18 Compulsory and 12 Elective)
  • 40 Community Involvement Hours
  • Ontario Literacy Requirement
  • 2 Online Learning Credits

Ontario Secondary School Certificate

  • 14 Credits

Ontario Certificate of Accomplishment
